Defying gravity, these amazing rock formations stun the logic of what nature can create. Technically called a hoodoo, these pillars erode by wind, water, and temperature over a long period of time. The softer rock succumbs to the elements while the harder rock remains. Eventually, this toadstool will fall just as new ones form. This cycle of erosion creates incredible beauty of the southwest.
